It has been almost two years sine Brett Marie Bruce's daughter, Jen Thomas, joined her in the La Habra Heights office. After graduating in four years (no small feat today) from Arizona State University in 2004 with a double major, she studied for and received her real estate license in the same year. She started with Brett learning the ropes as a transaction coordinator. With all the paperwork generated by a real estate sale, it takes someone well organized and tenacious to keep everything in order. After mastering that responsibility, Jen has also taken on the additional responsibility of working as a buyer's agent. That is the area that she finds the most interesting and challenging.

Jen was born and raised in Fullerton where she attened Sunny Hills High School. She also lived awhile in La Habra Heights. Currently she is back in Fullerton where she has become a homeowner and taxpayer. That has also become a learning experience. She is having fun decorating her newly purchased home with a non-traditional tropical decor, not necessarily the easiest find.

On the personal side, Jen attends EV Free Church in Fullerton. You may also her her spending her free time in downtown Fullerton meeting up with her firends. As for hobbies, reading books makes the list but shopping absolutely does not. It is a rare girl that doesn't like to shop. She is also a "Parrothead" which when translated means she is simply a big Jimmy Buffett fan. That is also reflected in her unusual email address, Jen7Parrot@aol.com.

On the quieter side, she enjoys doing the new craze crossword, SuDoku, and also taking a stab at Wheel of Fortune, a throwback to her old spelling bee days. But one of the things she likes the most is going for long fast walks before or after work. She especially likes dragging Brett along after shaming her and overcoming her many excuses. On those particular days, for some mysterious reason, she likes to walk a little faster. Can you imagine?

Jen returned a short time ago from her annual trip to Hawaii to bring in the New Year, something she looks forward to all year long. She also looks forward to simple old-fashioned road trips. In the past she has driven to such places as Arizona, San Francisco, and Oregon.

So, if you are out and about on a Sunday and see one of Brett Bruce's open house signs, it might be Jen inside subbing for Brett. Stop in and say hi. She takes pleasure in the community atmosphere and would love to meet you.
